HEADLONG INTO ART

DATE: FROM 21 APRIL 2024 TO 25 AUGUST 2024

VENUE: MUSEUM OSTWALL, DORTMUNDER U, DORTMUND, GERMANY

The Museum Ostwall, Dortmund, Germany, introduces Headlong into art, that gathers several immersive large-scale artworks from 6 international artists.

The exhibition is displaying Cruz-Diez's Environnement Chromointerférent translucide C, 1974/2009. This artwork reveals the changeable, ambiguous nature of color. Its projection, which remains in constant motion, renders both the spectators and objects transparent as they virtually change shape. Viewers take on the dual role of 'actors' and 'authors' of this chromatic event that unfolds in real space and time.

Carlos Cruz Jr., director of the Atelier Cruz-Diez Paris, Carlos will be present and speak the inauguration, on April 21 at 11 a.m., along with, Barbara Brunsing, Mayor of Dortmund, Regina Selter, Director of the Museum Ostwall, Viktoria von Pidoll and Michael Griff, curators of the exhibition.
